About

The Practice

Alan, originally from Manchester, came to Sheffield to study Dentistry at the local Dental Hospital and qualified there in 1982.

Having worked as an associate in several practices for a period of time, he acquired the premises from the Doctors at the corner of Minna Road and Burngreave Road and set about converting it for Dental use.

The old Pitsmoor Doctors surgery became Pitsmoor Dental Health Centre in May 1988 taking on mainly local NHS patients in the locality. Word spread however and now people come from far and wide.

“Q” joined the practice a few years later allowing it to expand from 2 to 4 surgeries with separate decontamination room and development of the more independent side of the practice, offering treatment the NHS contract could not provide i.e. Dental Implants etc.

We have a great team, most of which have been with us since we opened in May 1988.

As a consequence we are treating the children and grandchildren of the patients who attended when we first opened.

We are now entering the 21st century with this new web presence.

From our very beginnings we have forged relationships with the Wholistic Health Community.

The practice is based at 139-141 Burngreave Road

Facilities include: 4 dedicated surgeries
Dedicated decontamination room
2 waiting rooms
Separate digital x-ray room
